Description
A composite in remembrance of all those who "crossed over" the river as they fought in the war between the states. The words, "Let us cross over the river and rest under the shade of the trees" were, according to history the final words of Stonewall Jackson before he died. The background image is a scene from the a battle at Stones River in Tennessee. This was not the battle that Jackson received his wounds from. This image and the faded photo of Jackson are Public Domain provided by the Library of Congress. The Confederate battle flag was taken at a Civil War re-enactment.
