Description

As summer comes to a close and autumn begins to touch the hills with it colorful canvas, the hummingbirds are getting ready for their flight. This tiny female ruby throat has her wings all fluffed up as she sits on a bare limb guarding the backyard feeder for intruders. The green hued feathers remind me of tiny emerald jewels.
