Artist's Description

Portrait of a Great Horned Owl. This beautiful bird of prey had just finished eating a mouse, one of many small animals included in his diet. The Great Horned owl is of of the largest birds of prey. This photo was taken in captivity, the yellow eyes were beautiful as he stared into my eyes. A poster edge filter was added for detail.

About TnBackroadsPhotos

TnBackroadsPhotos

Hello.. thanks for visiting. My husband and I are self-taught wildlife and nature photographers. Living in Tennessee, we like to visit the Smoky Mountains as often as possible and photograph the wonderful wildlife and beautiful landscapes. We also like to drive our southern Tennessee back roads close to home and see what we can find. Our backyard bird feeders also provide many photo opportunities and hours of enjoyable bird watching. I also enjoy combining photos and textures to create photo art.
