The steeple on the Cades Cove Primitive Baptist church shows through the canopy of green springtime leaves . The historically preserved building is surrounded by bright green foliage in the spring and summer and a colorful display of autumn leaves in the fall. The graves of many of the pioneers of the cove lie quiet in the peaceful cemetery behind the church.
